Renault SUV 7 seater Triber Overview
The Renault Triber multi purpose vehicle (MPV) is now one of the company's best-selling models in India. After its introduction in August 2019, the Triber has sold over 75,000 units - a milestone in the India market. The rural and non-urban markets accounts for about a third of the sub compact MPV' s overall revenue. Specifically, "37 per cent sales (of the Triber) come from Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets." (Venkatram Mamillapalle, Renault India’s Country CEO and Managing Director). And it's the spaciousness, practicality of this model that seem to have impressed buyers in both urban and rural markets.

This year, to better furnish their product, Renault has given a handful of updates for the 2021 model, which come at a cost, ranging from INR 15,000 to INR 20,000. The model has a starting price of INR 5.30 lakh and a top price of INR 7.82 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). Details of the 2021 updates will be introduced followingly.
Renault SUV 7 seater Triber 360 View: Exterior Review
Front view
The front of Triber 2021 has reserved all its charms as the 2020 model. The V-shape grille typical of the car with chrome elements added to 3 edges gives Triber a bold look. On the two side of the grille, the MPV’s vigorous appearance is better enhanced with its two projector headlamps. Apart from that, the sharp ceases on the bonnet also contribute to the harmonious look of the Triber’s front.

Side view
While most of the design for the 2021 Triber share similarity with its earlier model year, the stylish roof rails aligning with the thoroughly black colored roofs in upper variants clearly make the MPV’s side view stand out. Besides, the colored ORVMs are now replaced by all-black ones, upgraded with the smart LED turn indicators. The variant logo for this model year continues to be placed on its front-left door pillar as a tradition of Renault cars.

Rear view
In accordance with its front view, the rear view of the new Triber has various chrome details, including the model name “eak split tail lamps all adds to the Triber’s bold stance.

Renault SUV 7 seater Triber Interior Review: What Does Renault SUV 7 seater Triber Have To Offer?
Updates are not just limited to the outside, but on the inside, the Triber benefits from the addition of a significant number of features.
Seating capacity
The 2021 Renault SUV 7 seater Triber has gone for theatre-style seating, which means that the second and third rows are mounted higher. They've even sliced out a part of the roof to ensure that the third-row rider has ample headroom. Since the second row has a 190mm movement range, you can tailor the knee space for the third row as well.

Comfort Features
This new Renault SUV 7 seater will be available with a height-adjustable driver’s seat, which seems to be the most practical addition of this update. The flexibility of the car in organizing its seating into any modules from two to seven further assists passengers’ comfort in seating capacity. Also, the updated model will finally get new audio and phone controls mounted on its steering wheels, a feature reserved for the top-end variants only. A touchscreen that enables Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is another outstanding feature.

At the console center, a cool box is placed so that passengers can enjoy chilled drinks during the drive. There are AC vents installed on the B-pillars to keep the occupants cool. They can be turned on independently of the air conditioning in the first row. However, the placement of the fan speed monitor, which is low and far — next to the chilled central glovebox between the front seats — is a mild nuisance.

Safety Features
Regarding safety, the standard safety kit remains unchanged, including a rear parking camera, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, LED instrument cluster, projector headlamps, up to four airbags, a dual-glove box setup and ABS with EBD.
Renault SUV 7 seater Triber Performance: Engine Review

In the Renault SUV 7 seater Triber 2021, the engine and transmission options remain the same. The sub-4-metre MPV is powered by the Energy 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. With a different bore and stroke, as well as variable valve timing, this is a very different engine compared to the 1.0-litre engine found under the hood of the Renault Kwid. It's no surprise that the motor produces marginally more power (72PS vs. 69PS) and torque (96Nm vs. 91Nm) than the Kwid. Either a 5-speed Manual Transmission or a 5-speed Automatic Transmission can be combined with the engine.
Renault SUV 7 seater Triber Mileage: Is it Fuel Economy?
The same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine that produces 71 BHP and 96 Nm of torque together with the five-speed manual unit and an AMT unit is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 19 kmpl and 18.29 kmpl, respectively.
Renault SUV 7 seater Triber Cost: Is it Affordable?

The French car manufacturer has launched the 2021 Triber at Rs 5.30 lakh (Ex-showroom). Since Renault India has redesigned the Triber for the model year 2021 with new color schemes and creature comforts, the modifications resulted in a price increase of Rs 10,000 – 15,000 for all models.
Renault SUV 7 seater Triber Colors: How many Options?
The Renault Triber has been upgraded with new dual-tone paint choices, but they are only available on the top-spec RXZ trim. The carmaker has also added a new Cedar Brown paint to the new Renault SUV 7 seater, which replaces the now-discontinued red shade. On the top-spec dual-tone RXZ trim of , all paint choices - Electric Blue, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White, Metal Mustard, and Cedar Brown - will be available with a new black contrasting roof.

Renault SUV 7 seater Triber Problems: Is there any issue?
The motor has become the Triber's only stumbling block, since it feels underpowered. When Renault launches the 1.0L turbo-petrol engine, which is also available on the Kiger, this problem will most likely be resolved.
Verdict: Is Renault SUV 7 seater Triber worth buying?
The Triber competes with the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, and Maruti Wagon R at this price range, but it outperforms them all in terms of practicality. It's a true family car that prioritizes practicality over flashiness.

This India's first modular MPV with a removable third row of seats for more cargo space. There are no other MPVs or vehicles with a length of less than 4 meters that can seat seven people. It has helped the brand break into tier II and tier III markets, a demographic that values more seating space in a more economical box. The 2021 Renault SUV 7 Triber is a ton of car for the money, at a cost from Rs 5,3 lakh and Rs 7,8 lakh (ex-showroom).
