Skoda Octavia 2021

Expected launch: April 10, 2021
The first car to be featured in our list is the fourth-gen Skoda Octavia 2021. Slated to be launched by the middle of this year, the upcoming Skoda sedan is likely to come with a more sophisticated appearance. In particular, it will witness notable modifications regarding the grille, the tailgate, tail lamps, and alloy wheels. Inside, it will be available with a wide array of new features. To name a few, it will sport a bigger touchscreen system, a head-up display, eSIM connectivity, connected car tech with a voice assistant, and a digital instrument cluster.

The India-spec Octavia 2021 will be equipped with a new 1.5-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. While the former is capable of making 150PS of power, the latter will develop 190PS. Transmission options will include a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DSG. If launched, the all-new Skoda Octavia 2021 will challenge the likes of the Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic, and Toyota Corolla Altis.
Volkswagen Tiguan 2021
Expected price: Rs 28 lakh (New Delhi)
Expected launch: April 10, 2021
The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan facelift is the next model in our list of upcoming cars in India. Spied testing in India without any camouflage, the 5-seater Volkswagen SUV appears more stylish than the existing model thanks to the newly-added headlamps, tweaked front bumper, and a new, chic-looking logo. Inside, the 2021 Tiguan will be packed with a host of goodies like a larger touchscreen system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, digital instrument cluster, and connected car tech. Apart from that, it will continue to employ three-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, drive modes, cruise control, TPMS, and an electrically adjustable driver seat. Safety essentials will involve seven airbags, ESC, front and rear parking sensors.

Under the hood, the facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan 2021 will be powered by the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine as seen in the Allspace. Transmission-wise, it will come mated to a 6-speed DSG, allowing the vehicle to churn out 190PS of power and 320Nm. Once launched, the Volkswagen SUV will rival the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and the future Citroen C5 Aircross.
